Meal & Snack Reimbursement for Claiming Providers


Providers are subsidized for meals and snacks served to each enrolled child. A provider can claim a maximum of two meals and one snack or two snacks and one meal per child per day at the following rates: 


 USDA CACFP Reimbursement Rates
Effective July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010
                         Tier I         Tier II

Breakfast              $1.19             $0.44

Lunch/Supper        $2.21             $1.33

Snack                  $0.66             $0.18

Payment is based on a two-tier reimbursement system. Tier I reimbursement is determined by either income, school or census eligibility. Tier II reimbursement applies to those who are not eligible based on the above.
